Senior Java Engineer

About the role

NovaStack Talent partners with an enterprise logistics platform seeking a Senior Java Engineer to modernize core shipment and billing services. The team is migrating critical paths to cloud-native architectures while keeping millions of daily transactions stable for existing customers.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and integration APIs.
• Drive performance tuning, resilience patterns, and automated testing strategies.
• Work with architects on service boundaries, API contracts, and deployment standards.
• Support production operations and continuous improvement of developer experience.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of Java development in backend or platform teams.
• Solid knowledge of Spring ecosystem, REST, and relational databases.
• Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration in production.
• Ownership mindset and constructive collaboration in cross-functional squads.

Nice to have

• Kotlin or experience leading incremental modernization projects.
• Event streaming (Kafka) and domain-driven design practice.
• Prior work in logistics, marketplaces, or high-throughput transactional systems.
